Its the middle of winter, spring is just around the corner and we are half way done with the season. I have had such an interesting one. Always love that things are never dull around here. With a few weeks of training and some play I feel ready for this second half! Hopefully it will go a bit smoother than the first.
One of the reasons I keep coming back and why I love ski racing is the work. I love the fact that we get up and go to work out in the crisp mountain air all around the world. Mountains are so powerful, they are so bold and majestic and hold so much of my soul in them. I love how far you can see when you are on top of one and how the light looks against the white caped peaks.
Whenever things get a bit to crazy or lonely I find such peace high up in the thin air as it whips my hair around and I send myself flying down the mountain. Only then does my blood settle and I can breathe again.
Im excited to change up the mountain ranges a bit and head to Kranjska Gora for a world cup this weekend and then HOME! Im ready for a break. Drive a truck, sleep in my cozy bed in my cabin in the woods and have some good home made meals from my pops, cousin and Uncle! Can’t lie Im Soooooooooooo excited to get home!
