So its the end of a great camp. I progressed from free skiing into some brush gates and then into some real gates. Just sectioning, but it feels good to be back. Slalom was all natural and GS I felt like a fish out of water but its coming along. Some interesting conditions here at the end. Between super cold weather, some fluffy snow and extreme euro lines I am getting back into things. The team has been great, coaches and girls are working very well together which always makes things fun. Great games and creative activities so that there is no time to be bored. Some of the girls are off to Soelden for the big opener this weekend so we will be cheering them on as the get the new season underway. As for me a little more fun in the sun is to be had and some more training so I can get cleared to race!
There are dreams, dream boats and super stars. There are ice crystals and princesses. There are sunny days and starry nights. There are lights that shift in between the afternoon beams that shine across the mountains. There are snow puff storms and down comforter giggles. There is steamed swiss milk that you drop flakes of chocolate in and swirl around. It all melts in the pours of your mouth that leaves you with sensations to dream about. The ones that take you away on a magic carpet rides. To dream and explore your imagination. To discover what you want, to taste a longing for romance, to live the vision you once had. Never let the dream die. It is like the children’s innocence, it is youth and love and a never ending fear of knowing. Never let it go, its being a kid for life!

WE are back on snow. Have a blast as usual. I was sick flying over and have been low energy for the first block. I was mostly free skiing GS and then got to run some brush gates and a few regular gates. Trying to get the feeling and balance back. Its hard when your mind strays to negative thoughts but I am taking one day at a time. The snow here is great and it has been amazing weather. We went on a beautiful hike up to one of the huts. Came across a sheep that had given birth to twins an hour prior. We then had a girls dinner out to Fondu which was amazing as always here in Switzerland. Today we had a day off and Sarah and I walked around town to get some fresh air, I found the perfect scarf and we drank green tea, watched surfing, and began our next video adventure. I have been addicted to the Sauna as well. I try to go everyday. Makes you feel great!
Going to test out slalom tomorrow and hope to get into some real gates here soon! Hope everyone is having a great week!
If any of you don’t know I have had an amazing angel watching over me, taking care of me, pushing me to my limits, Holding my hand when the road gets rough and being the most wonderful sweetest person in the world. Kevin, he is my dream come true. My everything. It has not been an easy journey these last three years but it has certainly been fun and entertaining. I have seen new parts of the world, been introduced to multiple new activities and many extremely fun adventures. Not only have we had amazing times we have had hard ones too. I can’t imagine anyone putting up with me on a normal day and we have had very few normal days. From being their from the first injury to the last and dealing with my demons and my changes and all the craziness that goes on from an accident, to getting out of his element and toughing out winter conditions and learning about a different kind of life. He is one tough cookie. He once said he realized Im not a simple girl. And Im not and I never will be, Im unique as unique can get and Im also part of a family that is bold and stubborn and we have always run to a different beat so I just wanted everyone to know how much this kid means to me! He is the love of my life and he has done more for me than anyone can imagine and he is extremely talented and creative and he is my hero and my one true love! Thank you a million times my love!

Its the end of the most beautiful Indian summer. I had an amazing time, camping, biking, hiking, playing night volleyball, spending time just taking in my surroundings enjoying Jackson. Its important to get that time to yourself and to get time off, to rest the body so that you are not over worked and so that your body can rejuvenate and reboot itself so that it will come back stronger and grow healthier. Its my first week off in a long time. I have been training none stop. I realized while everyone has been skiing these past few years, I have been in the gym working out or doing rehab. I haven’t had a break from that to do what I love. But now the time has come to ski. I feel packed and ready to go, now just a few days to soak in the sun and unwind before I get to start hitting some real gates!
